UpStart Thrift Store wants everyone to be able to use this website and visit the store.

This website

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. On this site that means:

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.

  • Text and controls meet contrast guidelines, and pages can be zoomed to 200% without losing content.

  • Headings, links, images and forms are labeled so screen readers can describe them.

  • Links that open a new tab are marked with a small arrow.

  • Animations respect your device's "reduce motion" setting.

Some parts of the site come from other providers, including the online donation form, the grant application (Google Forms) and the spam check on our contact form. We choose providers that publish their own accessibility commitments, but we don't control their code.

In the store

If you need a hand reaching items, carrying donations, or anything else, ask any volunteer. If you'd like to arrange help ahead of a visit or a donation drop-off, contact us and we'll work it out.
